The Buescher 400 Alto Saxophone

Comes With Original Hard Case

Meet a very hard to find Buescher 400 pro alto sax!!!

You are bidding on a very special Buescher 400 alto sax. Serial number indicates it was made about 1976. These models are considered professional level horns!!! They also are good for beginners and intermiediate players as they are not as unforgiving or finicky as many pro horns. Compare them favorably to Selmer's vaunted Mark VI's at a fraction of the cost. Being such a low production model they are almost harder to find! With the same buttery smooth fast action as the Mark VI, but better sound!! Not as bland and flat sounding as the Mark VI's, these horns have great heart and soul that seems to echo off the walls!!! No doubt due in part to their over size bells and heavier brass content. These are LEGENDARY horns no matter what the year of manufacture!!! Cosmetically this special horn has only a few scuffs and scratches, just enough that you know she's seen a little action. This horn is very special and sweet!!! It plays wonderfully and has clean lines, simple yet elegant!! A very attractive look!!! The bottom is in good condition with no major flatness or dents. Gold finish is intact in the 95% plus range. Pads are in excellent condition, soft and unstained. Pictures show most everything! The finish in many areas looks almost as shiny as new!! This is a solid playable instrument with the fast action, great looks, and great sound of a professional level Selmer MarkVI killer. Something very hard to find at any price!!!!!!! Comes with a great Selmer C* resonate mouthpiece with rubber on the tooth bridge. This sax comes with its original black deluxe hard case with plush lining that frankly has seen better days, but is still usable. The case has done its job as this horn is in exellent condition, almost as nice as my similar vintage personal 1971 400 I've been slaying Mark VI's with for 30 years!! Playing one right after the other, this horn might play a tad better then mine!!! Simply AMAZING horns!!! Once you have one you'll never give it up like I haven't for 30 years!!!!!!!!
